Wechselwirkungen zwischen dem Glykoprotein des Virus der Bornaschen Krankheit und Zellkomponenten bei der Virusinvasion

Summary

The molecular mechanisms how envelope proteins of the Borna disease virus (BDV) will act during virus invasion and budding of virus particles will be analysed. Our goals are: (i) identification and characterization of the BDV receptor of the host cell and of the receptor binding site og the BDV-glycoprotein (GP), (ii) Identification and characterization of the fusion-relevant sites of the BDV-glycoprotein, (iii) influence of the N-glycosylation on functions of BDV-glycoprotein, (iv) interactions between glycoprotein and matrixprotein (M) of BDV, and (v) interactions of M and lipid membranes and proteins of the host cell during virus maturation.
